"Gurugurumaki" est une onomatopee qui exprime l'argile qui s'enroule autour des choses. J'habille des objets de notre quotidien avec de la ceramique que je travaille jusqu'a obtenir une forme ressemblant a celle d'un serpent ou encore d'une ficelle. Comme nous habillons notre corps, j'habille notre environnement direct. 

"Gurugurumaki" is an onomatopoeia that describes the way a thread-like thing makes a coil.  This was a workshop to use coils of clay to cover anything available such as shoes, gloves, hangers, chairs, flowers, bottles, electric cables, a sink, TV and column.  I asked the participants to make “gurugurumaki” on things of their choice, while I covered my studio with clay.  After two month, the space was full of “gurugurumaki” and became a space where usual and unusual were mixed.

「ぐるぐるまき」とは　靴、手袋、ハンガー、椅子、流し台、花、ビ ン、テレビ、電気のコード、柱、身近にあるものを何でも巻いてしまおう！というプロジェクト。 練る、伸ばす、乾かす、水につけ、また練る・、シンプルな行程の中で、土と手がリアルに関わる瞬間に注目するオープンスタジオを行った。約１００人のワー クショップ参加者は、自分の好きなもので「ぐるぐるまき」を作り、私はアトリエ中を粘土で覆った。
